About Qatar

Qatar is an Arab Emirate in South West Asia. It lies on a flat peninsula in the Arabian Gulf with a landscape that mostly consists of desert and mangrove swamps. The emirate is extremely wealthy due to its huge natural resources of gas and oil and is thought to be one of the richest countries in the world.

There is always something to do around Doha, its Capital City; however the most popular place that visitors head for is Doha’s corniche or seafront. A public promenade that extends for four miles you will find the high end hotels, restaurants, shops and beautiful beaches there. Doha was once a quaint pearl fishing village, and it is now a place where East meets West in both architecture and culture. A land of contrasts, Qatar is steadfastly trying to increase its popularity to its visitors so as to make it a destination rather than a stopover.
